The fixed-effects analysis of the relation between SDAS and carbides for the airfoil blade traces

Abstract: The primary objective was to test a usefulness of the specific fixed-effect model for the analysis of quantitative relationships gathered from the image analysis of the material microstructures. The dataset was obtained from the investigation of turbine blades made from superalloy IN713C. The analysis based on the general linear model resulted in informative plots revealing mutual relationships between secondary dendrite arm spacing and the mean plane section area of carbides in the material. Directions for fu… Show more

“…Presented method may be directly used in factories related to hydraulic systems (Walczak and Sobczyk, 2014;Krawczyk et al, 2018) or special materials (Wawrzala and Korzekwa, 2012;Goroshko et al, 2014) and coatings (Scendo et al, 2014;Klimecka-Tatar et al, 2015;Radek et al, 2018). Such approach often requires special prediction models (Pietraszek et al, 2014;Pietraszek et al, 2017a) with an uncertainty estimated by non-parametric methods (Pietraszek and Gadek-Moszczak, 2013;Gadek-Moszczak et al, 2015;Dwornicka et al, 2017;Pietraszek et al, 2017b). Strong support for this approach is offered by a design of experiments methodology (Montgomery, 2008) which is widely used from artificial neural networks (Pietraszek, 2003) through a biotechnology (Skrzypczak-Pietraszek et al, 2018a), a phytochemistry (Skrzypczak- Pietraszek and Pietraszek, 2009;Skrzypczak-Pietraszek et al, 2018b), a mechanics (Kozien, 2009;Goroshko et al 2014) up to a industry management (Ulewicz et al, 2013;Ulewicz, 2016;Kozien and Kozien, 2017;Maszke et al, 2018).…”

“…Securing results of industrial interest is particularly important, because they are exposed to espionage e.g. in machine building (Pietraszek et al, 2017;Pacana and Pacana, 2018;Ulewicz and Selejdak, 2018), heavy-duty machine production (Domagala et al, 2018a;Fabis-Domagala et al, 2018;Krawczyk et al, 2018), power plants (Dwornicka, 2014;Osocha, 2018), biotechnology (Skrzypczak-Pietraszek et al, 2018) andlast but not leastin materials science (Skulski et al, 2009;Gadek-Moszczak et al, 2015) being source of new materials (Strzelczak and Dudek, 2018) and related technologies (Pliszka et al, 2018;Radek et al, 2018). Constraints imposed by data security have to be considered in management of industry (Kozien, 2017) and academia (Kozien and Kozien, 2017a;Kozien and Kozien, 2017b).…”

“…In almost all cases, these operations are uncontrolled and can lead to human exposure and extensive environmental damage. In addition, the processes used are generally less efficient and result in lower materials recovery than from more established methods (Weber and Reisman, 2012 ., 2014), a non-parametric approach (Pietraszek and Gadek-Moszczak, 2013;Gadek-Moszczak et al, 2015;Dwornicka et al, 2017;Pietraszek et al, 2017) or the most effectivethe design of experiments approach (Pietraszek and Goroshko, 2014;Skrzypczak-Pietraszek et al, 2018). Such procedures lead to a proper prediction models which may be used as a base for a numerical simulation (Ferdek and Kozien, 2013;Domagala et al, 2018a;Domagala et al, 2018b) with the uncertainty estimation (Goroshko and Royzman, 2015), even by Monte-Carlo methods (Shao and Tu, 1995;Ohno et al, 2018) or fuzzy approach (Filo et al, 2018a;Filo et al, 2018b).…”
