In the current study, for the first time, Oxynoemacheilus angorae samples were caught from Perşembe Plateau Meandering Streams in the Ordu-Turkey (Middle Black Sea Region). In the field studies, fifteen O. angorae individuals were sampled using electrofishing gear. After the captured samples were photographed, they were placed in fish transfer containers and transferred to the laboratory. Some metric numbers and meristic characteristics of the samples brought to the laboratory were recorded. The mean value of body weight of fish samples was determined as 2.39±0.576 g. The mean values of standard length, fork length and total length of the samples were determined as 5.48±0.49 cm, 6.23±0.54 cm and 6.56±0.59 cm, respectively. The result of this study, new fish species was added to freshwater fish fauna of Ordu and also provided a new data for the distribution areas O. angorae in Turkey.

This study was carried out to draw attention and create awareness on hunting materials prohibited to use and very dangerous for water ecology which is called Tırıvırı (Turkish name) and defined as a killer tor or Parachute Fishing Net (PFN). It was carried out in a part of Göynük Stream (Bingöl) creek bed at various times during the years 2015-2016-2017. The study had been carried out in about 40 km of the Göynük Stream, separated from the Murat River by three steps towards its upstream. These sections were taken as; Genç county railway bridge-Kervansaray (18 km), Kervansaray-Ilıcalar (11 km), and Ilıcalar-Alatepe (12 km). In these sections, there were found 45 in the first, 52 in the second, 33 in the third interval, and 130 in total old and new looking fishnet residues were determined of the creek bed. Throughout the study, only the Tırıvırı (PFN) trashes outside the stream could be counted, and it can be estimated that the amount that cannot be counted in the water is 3-4 times of those detected. It has been attempted to give the awareness that the hunting material is only a spending day activity whereas the adverse effects continue for years.

In the present study, some meristic and morphometric characteristics of 66 Capoeta trutta (Heckel, 1843) fish samples collected from Murat River (Palu-Elazığ) were examined. The samples were immediately preserved with ice and fixed with 5% formaldehid on arrival in the laboratory. Metric measurements were carried out with 0.01 mm sensitive calipers. Meristic characters were counted as number of the dorsal fin rays, number of the anal fin rays, number of the pelvic fin rays, number of the pectoral fin rays, number of scales on the lateral line and number of the pharyngeal teeth. The morphometric characters were measured as total length, fork length, standard length, predorsal length, postdorsal length, caudal peduncle length, body width, body height, snout length, head length, head width, eye diameter, mouth width, intertorbital length, distance between pelvic fin and anal fin, distance between pelvic fin and pectoral fin. Morphometric measurements as total length percentage and total length regression models and determination coefficients (r2) were calculated. Generally, a significant, high, positive correlation was found between total length and morphometric measurements (r2= 0.70-0.92, p<0.01).
