Abstract:Atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS) is a form of thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA) that can result in end-stage renal disease. Patients with aHUS often have predisposing dysfunction in the complement pathway, and continuous activation of complement proteins can be triggered after transplantation.
