Manganese(II) tri-tert-butoxysilanethiolate complexes with imidazole-based coligands: A neutral complex with four independent ligands and MNOS2 core (M=Mn) related to the liver alcohol dehydrogenase catalytic center (M=Zn)

Silanethiolates appear as an exception to this rule since so far only [Mn{SSi(OBut) 3 } 2 (NCMe)] was found isomorphous with its Co and Zn analogues [19]. Reaction of 1 with imidazole gave, unexpectedly, the product 3 with only one N-donor ligand bonded to manganese.…”
