Abstract:The Franciscan spiritual tradition formulates conversion as an ongoing transformational process resulting from divine agency experienced in social encounter. Francis and Franciscans describe these encounters as spiritual journeys deeper into relationship with diverse “others,” and thus drawing closer to God.
