The faher's star. Star imagery in Virgil's Aeneid and J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of The Rings

Abstract: The purpose of this paper is the analysis of some resemblances between J. R. R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings and Virgil’s Aeneid, especially the iconography of the star borne on a ruler’s brow as a symbol of royalty and as proof of divine ancestry.
