The Evolutionary Game Analysis of Low Carbon Production Behaviour of Farmers, Government and Consumers in Food Safety Source Governance

Abstract: Whether the quality of agricultural products is safe or not is related to issues of food safety and low carbon production in agriculture. Based on evolutionary game theory, this paper establishes a game model among government, farmers and consumers and analyzes the dynamic evolutionary process and evolutionary stable strategies of the major stakeholders. The results show that: (i) government subsidy coefficient, farmers’ penalty coefficient for not producing, consumer trust coefficient and willingness to pay c… Show more

“…On one hand, consumer trust plays a leading role in green consumption, and the pursuit of a high-quality life and an emphasis on health are the main reasons for green consumption. On the other hand, price is the main constraint factor for green consumption, but preferences may lead consumers to ignore price factors to a certain extent in pursuit of product quality (Guang et al, 2016;Nicolopoulou-Stamati et al, 2016;Geng et al, 2017;Xiang-yan et al, 2018;Zhao et al, 2018;Fu et al, 2020;Xi and Zhang, 2021;Xie et al, 2022). Farmers' violation of OEM labels has caused a setback to consumers' trust, which has a negative effect.…”

“…Based on the evolutionary results of the model, a thorough analysis is conducted on the national incentives to researchers. Xie et al (42) established an evolutionary game theorybased game model involving the government, farmers, and consumers to analyze the evolutionary process and stabilization strategies of key stakeholders in order to enhance safety management effectiveness. Sun et al (43) constructed an evolutionary game model to explore cooperative optimization between healthcare and older adult social care organizations.…”

“…Chen, L. [18] believes that modeling through games can optimize platform services to a great extent, and evolutionary game, as an important branch of game theory, represents a dynamic equilibrium achieved by finite rational participants in the process of continuous game [19], which can reflect the evolutionary stable strategies of the system under different influencing factors [20] and provide a basis for the choice of stakeholders' value co-creation strategies [21][22][23][24].
