The evaluation and physiologic assessment of hemorrhoidal disease: a review

Abstract: The term hemorrhoids in generally used to describe "symptomatic hemorrhoids". A Medline review of the literature on anatomy, physiology and post-hemorrhoidectomy changes was performed and summarized in this review.
