“…It infers that Italians are more informative regarding the current environmental crisis and experience remorsefulness accordingly (Dangelico et al, 2021; Mathur, 2009) as compared to Indian consumers. In developed countries, not only are the media interested in adding environmental matters to their daily agenda but also, the policymakers are spending great effort in being in line with global standards and regulations (Silander, 2020). Contrarily, in developing countries like India, managers of sustainable organisations have to consider that they should, in partnership with the media, develop reliable coverage of global warming, leverage trustworthy sources, and boost the public opinion's engagement among a mainly unaware population if they want consumers to be more prone to buy green products (Thaker et al, 2017).…”

“…Consequently, digital platforms - as one example of enabling technologies – are an important feature of the digitalisation programme. Platforms which employ a federation approach arguably offer improved diversity and demand-led development in a wide range of industry sectors ( Silander, 2020 ; Silander, 2019 ). Examples such as Google and IBM have successfully demonstrated economic benefits by increasing net profits resulting from the creation of a quasi-federation of interrelated platforms (search, social-media, email, cloud storage, documents management, etc) ( Farrand, 2014 ).…”

“…Examples such as Google and IBM have successfully demonstrated economic benefits by increasing net profits resulting from the creation of a quasi-federation of interrelated platforms (search, social-media, email, cloud storage, documents management, etc) ( Farrand, 2014 ). Furthermore, digital platforms, their methodologies, and the services/tools/products they may lead to are argued to be a key enabler for other EU challenges, for example in reducing climate change impacts and in improving education ( Silander, 2020 ; Silander, 2019 ). It is for these reasons that one pillar of the H2020 programme was devoted to digital platforms, and why impact assessment of innovation projects awarded within that programme is of interest.…”
