The policy of many universities regarding to the mandatory of TOEFL test for students has become a new discourse in academic circles, especially from the student's perspective. Although the standards set by each university are different, there are some similar conditions faced by students in meeting these standards such as, TOEFL becoming a burden for students, particularly those with limited English skills, moreover, it is increasing the cost of study by requiring students to pay for the test execution cost. Therefore, in line with this policy, the campus must provide support so that each student can meet the expected qualifications. This study aims to describe how the TOEFL Practicum Class is organized by the English language and literature department to help students meet the TOEFL standard set by the campus, which is 500. The experimental method in this research uses a type of research design with a pretest-posttest control design method, and the total sample used was 64 students from the fifth semester of English and literature department. this study consists of 3 stages, namely preparation stage, implementation stage and final or evaluation. stages. Based on the findings regarding to the effectiveness of the TOEFL Practicum Class implementation, it can be seen from the results of the pre-test and post-test means score, which seems to have increased toward the score of the students.

The COVID-19 epidemic has compelled educational institutions worldwide to implement online learning while maintaining the same level of quality as face-to-face instruction. The majority of universities in Indonesia offer TOEFL preparation classes to undergraduate students, and the outbreak has had an effect on how those courses are delivered. However, there is a dearth of research on the most effective instructional strategies for delivering an online TOEFL preparation course to a large number of students who have no prior experience with online learning. Thus, this study examined the integration of task- and game-based learning into an online TOEFL preparation course taught at two Indonesian institutions over the period of twenty online class meetings totaling 40 class hours. It involved undergraduate students (N = 48) from Politeknik Perkeretaapian Indonesia Madiun's Railway Mechanical Technology study program and Universitas Muhadi Setiabudi's Management study program.

Despite Palestinian university students’ problems with the Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet-based Test, no researchers approached this research area in the Palestinian English as a Foreign Language context. The present study attempted to answer a question focusing on Palestinian university students’ problems with the reading sections of the Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet-based Test and the revised Test of English as a Foreign Language paper-delivered test. The participants were 65 fourth-year students studying English at Al-Aqsa University. The researcher employed four instruments: a test, a group semi-structured interview, and two individual semi-structured interviews. Results showed the students’ problems with the reading sections of the two types of tests, such as the irrelevance of the topics of the tests to the students’ content background knowledge, students’ lack of exposure to lengthy passages, students’ slow reading speed, and the students’ lack of linguistic proficiency. Additionally, the study offered many recommendations for Educational Testing Service experts and Al-Aqsa university students and instructors.
