The Endocrinologic Changes in Critically Ill Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Patients

Abstract: Men and women with acute respiratory failure in the presence of COPD develop significant changes in the neuroendocrine axis. Hormonal suppression vanishes with disease improvement.
