The EMITRANSYS model and the possibilities of its application for the analysis of the development of sustainable transport systems

Abstract: The transport system has a direct impact on the economic and socio-economic situation of each country. Planning its development is an important element of policy. Bearing in mind the importance and complexity of this issue, it should be considered using both quanti-tative methods and mathematical models, as well as advanced simulation tools for modelling transport. The article presents a proposal for an approach to simulation tests of the different transport system in the aspect of the emission of harmful exha… Show more

“…Applying the presented approach to the assessment and analysis of other systems by assessing reliability or risk, as presented in the works [30][31][32], is also expected. To use the modeling presented here in various other types of technical system assessments, such as diagnostics [33], risk assessment related to road and rail signaling [27,34], and development-related applications [35], seems possible too.…”

“…During the exploitation of power supply systems in transport telematics devices (PSSs in TTDs), there are many diverse external factors, whose impact means that each of the systems might stop being exploitable at a different moment after activation. In order to provide an appropriate level of security of operated transport services [1,2], solutions are introduced that enable increasing the value of probability of maintaining exploitability of the system. This article presents a reliability-exploitation and quality analysis of PSS in TTD.…”

“…The method of determining the uncertainty to evaluate the continuity quality can also be employed in devices implemented in transport (e.g., rail traffic control systems) [19][20][21] or other areas associated with critical systems [22]. It is particularly important because the security level of transport services and the functioning of critical systems depend on this.…”
