The electronic balance and some gravimetric applications (the density of solids and liquids, pycnometry and mass)

Abstract: In recent years the electronic force balance has been perfected to a degree that it can replace the mechanical balance in both precision and capacity.Hence, the mechanical balance is rapidly disappearing from the scene. The work reported here describes the use of the electronic balance in some high precision gravimetric applications.
