“…Based on the structural parameters of the PSC, the PSC sample was fabricated through the three-step method (cut-bonding circuit fill) described in Section . Compared with the commonly used cut-fill method and dice-insert method, the three-step method has the following characteristics: (1) front and back cutting ensures that the PZT-5A columns are evenly distributed to improve the uniformity of acoustic radiation; (2) no high temperature is involved in the preparation process, which avoids the depolarization of PZT-5A; , (3) the integrated cutting of PZT-5A is not limited by the area of composites. In conclusion, the novel PSC preparation method is reliable, efficient, and low cost without designing an auxiliary equipment such as pressing molds or polymer skeletons.…”

“…To date, several studies have investigated the development of various, chemical, and thermally stable energy storage devices [54][55][56][57]. The bulk of such devices could be manufactured using various fabrication methods such as dice-and-fill [58], 3D printing [55], and 4D printing [59] and at a reduced cost. However, this can only be feasible and sustainable when the factors determining performance are highly modulated to reflect targeted function(s).…”

“…The experimental results show that the modified 1-3 type three-phase piezoelectric composites have higher electromechanical coupling coefficient and working bandwidth, lower characteristic impedance, and better decoupling effect than the traditional two-phase 1-3 piezoelectric composites. These modified composites have a great application prospect in nondestructive testing and medical ultrasound [ 47 , 48 ].…”
