The Effects of Work Motivation on Employee Discipline in Tanjungkarang Barat Sub-District of Bandar Lampung

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of work motivation on employees’ work discipline in the Tanjungkarang Barat sub-district of Bandar Lampung. The researchers collected the data through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Furthermore, the data analysis technique used was the t-test. The t-test analysis revealed that the t­observed value (9.150) was higher than tcritical (2.82) at a significant level of 0.05. Therefore, the hypothesis that there was an influence between work motivations (X) on work discipline (Y) on Tanjung Karang Barat sub-district’s employees was accepted. The variables influenced each other, evidenced by the coefficient of determination of 79.9%, and the remaining 20.1% was influenced by other factors.
