The Effects of Rotation and Revolution Speed Ratio on the Grinding Kinetics of Cement Clinker in Horizontal Planetary Ball Mill

Abstract: The effects of rotation and revolution speed ratio on the grinding kinetics of cement clinker were studied in a horizontal planetary ball mill. The grinding media and material were used in the tests: 20mm diameter steel balls, cement clinker of-2.36+2.00mm. The rotation and revolution speed ratio is 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3 and 3.5. The results show that cement clinker obeys first-order grinding kinetics at different rotation and revolution ratio. The specific rate of breakage reaches the highest when the ratio equal… Show more
