“…Um estudo foi desenhado para determinar o efeito protetor do kefir sobre o dano oxidativo, bem como as alterações histológicas e bioquímicas que ocorrem nos tecidos renais de ratos diabéticos. O Kefir diminuiu os danos renais causados pelo diabetes, e com isso concluíram que a suplementação com kefir pode contribuir para melhor controle do estresse oxidativo, e consequentemente à melhora das funções renais, sugerindo seu uso para retardar a progressão da nefropatia diabética 26 , corroborando com os dados do presente estudo.
