The MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) forum carries rich discussion data that contains multi-level cognition-related behavior patterns, which brings the potential for an in-depth investigation into the development trend of the group and individual cognitive presence in discourse interaction. This paper describes a study conducted in the context of an introductory astronomy course on the Chinese MOOCs platform, examining the relationship between discussion pacings (i.e., instructor-paced or learner-paced discussion), cognitive presence, and learning achievements. Using content analysis, lag sequential analysis, logistic regression, and grouped regression approaches, the study analysed the online discussion data collected from the Astronomy Talk course involving 2603 participants who contributed 24,018 posts. The findings of the study demonstrated the significant cognitive sequential patterns, and revealed the significant differences in the distribution of cognitive presence with different discussion pacings and learning achievement groups, respectively. Moreover, we found that the high-achieving learners were mostly in the exploration, integration, and resolution phase, and learner-paced discussion had a greater moderating effect on the relationship between cognitive presence and learning achievements. Based on the findings and discussion, suggestions for improving the learners' cognitive presence and learning achievements in the MOOC environment are discussed.

Abstract: This study aims to determine the potential of the creative thinking abilities of Pamekasan high school students in work and energy. This research method uses descriptive methods with research subjects consisting of 175 students. The test used is an essay about 4 questions with a reliability value of 0.6. The results showed that the potential for students' creative thinking abilities was quite creative with a percentage of 48%. The flexible thinking indicator gets the highest score of 89% and the elaboration of thinking gets the lowest percentage of 26%. This shows that students can produce various ideas in other uses, but still have difficulty detailing their ideas. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa SMA Pamekasan pada materi usaha dan energi. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian yang terdiri dari 175 siswa. Instrument yang digunakan berupa empat soal uraian dengan koefisien reliabilitas 0,6. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa potensi kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa tergolong cukup kreatif dengan persentasenya 48%. Adapun indikator berpikir luwes mendapatkan skor tertinggi yaitu 89% dan berpikir elaborasi mendapatkan persentase terendah yaitu 26%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa mampu dalam menghasilkan berbagai ide-ide dalam pemanfaatan lainnya, namun masih kesulitan merinci idenya.

The purpose of writing this paper article is to review students' perceptions in the use of PhET-based virtual labs and also to provide a description in comparison to perceptions of virtual lab use from some of the results of previous studies that are relevant to this study. There are five aspects in the perception that will be surveyed, including; (1) aspects of innovation, (2) aspects of benefits (3) aspects of motivation, (4) aspects of effectiveness, (5) aspects of presenting procedures for laboratory activities. The method used is quantitative and qualitative with a Likert scale questionnaire which must be filled in by 40 people and then interviewing the subjects, after the data is collected, percentage data analysis is carried out. The results of the data analyzed show that the aspects of innovation, effectiveness, benefits and presentation of the procedure get a positive view compared to the motivational aspects which are stated to be negative, so this study also shows that the use of virtual labs based on PhET is innovative and effective, but lacks motivation in its use because of essential activities. laboratory is not felt, in presenting the module is required to increase 4C Skills to support 21st century skills
