Abstract: Background: Burns are considered a critical care problem in emergency medicine, resulting in physical, psychological, and chronic disabilities. Silver sulfadiazine is the gold standard in topical burn treatment but was associated with toxicity to keratinocytes and fibroblasts, which may delay wound healing.
