The Effects of Alcohol on Quality of Sleep

Abstract: BackgroundAlcohol is traditionally known to have a relaxing effect. However, persons who consume alcohol in excessive amounts suffer from poor sleep quality and patients with alcohol use disorders commonly report insomnia.
