“…Specific to the context of education, AE is negatively correlated with adaptive variables such as perceived fairness of grades, course policy and procedures (Miller, 2013; Vallade, Martin, & Weber, 2014), university satisfaction (Miller, 2013; Olson, 2014), perceived control of learning (Vallade et al, 2014), academic self-efficacy (Vallade et al, 2014), mastery orientation (Jackson, Singleton-Jackson, & Frey, 2011), test-taking effort (Kopp et al, 2011), and grade point average (Kopp, 2011). AE is positively related to the acceptance of other students being academically inappropriate (Chowning & Campbell, 2009), perceived faculty incompetence (Hazel, Crandall, & Caputo, 2014), grade negotiation (Kazoun, 2013), expressive and vengeful dissent with professors (Goodboy & Frisby, 2014), failed assessments (Jeffres, Barclay, & Stolte, 2014), academic dishonesty (Cornell, 2014; Greenberger, Lessard, Chen, & Farruggia, 2008), work avoidance (Kopp et al, 2011), and uncivil behavior (Kopp & Finney, 2013).…”
