The effectiveness of the use of organic fertilizers in the link of crop rotation on light gray forest soil of the south of the Volga-Vyatka region

Abstract: Relevance. The issues of reproduction of fertility of light gray forest soils of the forest-steppe zone and utilization of poultry industry waste as organic fertilizers are interrelated and are very relevant. Methods. The experiments studied the effect of one-time application of various doses (15, 30, 50 t/ha) of chicken manure, chicken manure compost and local organic fertilizers (sapropel and peat) on crop yields, and the aftereffect of fertilizers on the main indicators of soil fertility — amount of humus, … Show more

“…The main mass of snow was transported in the surface air layer (up to 50 cm), where shrubs were located, which had about 50-60% openness in a leafless form and promoted sufficient snow accumulation. According to Vasiliev (2003) at 40-50% openness and deviation of the angle of approach of the wind flow to the forest belt from perpendicular, the range of influence decreases to 10%, and at 13-31% openness to 55-20%. For a complex assessment of the forest belt effect on the character of snow distribution and accumulation, we used the formula of the total range of wind breakage effect by Garshinev (2002).…”

“…The large role of agroforestry in the fight against wind erosion on arable land has been demonstrated [14] and reinforced in recent years [15][16][17]. The use of wind protection by forest plantations (PFPs) of various designs in the fight against deflation has been shown in scientific works on the south of the Russian Plain [14,18], Ukraine [19]), and Bulgaria [20].…”
