Asthma in children has a long duration and is prone to recurring attacks. Children will feel chest tightness, shortness of breath, cough, and difficulty breathing when they are onset, which has a serious impact on their health. Clinical nursing is of great significance in the treatment of childhood asthma. At present, the electronic health PDCA nursing model is widely used in clinical nursing as a common and effective nursing method. Therefore, it is very important to evaluate the efficacy of the PDCA nursing model in the treatment of childhood asthma. With the development of artificial intelligence, artificial intelligence can be used to evaluate the effect of the PDCA nursing model in the treatment of childhood asthma. The BP network can effectively perform data training and discrimination, but its training efficiency is low, and it is easily affected by initial weights and thresholds. Aiming at this defect, this work uses the genetic simulated annealing (GSA) algorithm to improve it. In view of the problems that the genetic algorithm falls into local minimum and simulated annealing algorithm has a slow convergence speed, the improved genetic simulated annealing algorithm is used to optimize the BP neural network, and an improved genetic simulated annealing BP network (IGSA-BP) is proposed. The algorithm not only reduces the problem that the BP network has an influence on initial weight and threshold on the algorithm but also improves the population diversity and avoids falling into local optimum by improving the crossover and mutation probability formula and improving Metropolis criterion. The proposed method has more efficient performance.

PurposeThis research aims to examine the influences of preceding implementation phases on succeeding phases of business continuity management (BCM) comprising leadership, strategy, planning, application and maintenance.Design/methodology/approachData were gathered from 216 automotive parts manufacturers in Thailand. Descriptive statistics were employed to measure the maturity level of BCM implementation components. Path analysis of structural equation modeling was used to test hypotheses.FindingsThe study's findings found that the intensity of BCM elements decreased following the implementation phases. Leadership and strategy had the highest mean score, while maintenance had the lowest. Preceding phases had significant positive effects on succeeding phases. The direct impact of leadership on maintenance was much weaker than its indirect impact through strategy, planning and application.Originality/valueThis is one of the first examples of empirical research to investigate the sequential links between preceding and succeeding BCM implementation components. Strategic BCM elements and systematic implementation can improve and sustain BCM in the automotive parts industry in Thailand.

The human resources economic implications of nursing burnout amongst nurses working in retirement homes have become a critical concern within the healthcare industry. As the backbone of care provision in these settings, it is crucial to understand the consequences of burnout on the workforce’s well-being and organisational sustainability. This study aims to investigate burnout among nurses working in retirement homes in Slovenia. The reasons for burnout vary across countries and regions, so gathering data specific to this population is essential. Through surveys conducted among 253 nurses and medical technicians, factor analysis revealed three factors for burnout: emotional exhaustion, reduced personal fulfilment, and impersonality. This research aims to pave the way for reducing workplace stress by creating new opportunities for better working conditions. To achieve these goals, executive management in retirement homes should gain proficiency in the four elements of the quality management cycle: planning, execution, evaluation, and continuous improvement. Furthermore, a comparative analysis was conducted to collate the empirical findings with those from Croatia.
