Abstract:Familial hypercholesterolemia is associated with severe abnormalities including atherosclerosis, dyslipidemia, cardiovascular disease, oxidative stress, inflammation, and endothelium dysfunction. Flaxseed in the diet acts upon blood lipids, lowering cholesterol, and also has anti‐oxidative effects.
