Istimâ' Ibtidâ'i course in the Arabic Language Education Department at the State University of Malang refers to the Al-‘Arabiyyah baina Yadaik material only in the form of learning audio. The aims of this study were to: 1) use the material “Academic Arapça” to improve listening skills of undergraduate students in Arabic Language Education Department, and 2) improve listening skills in undergraduate students of Arabic language after using the material “Academic Arapça”. The method research is a classroom action research with quantitative data processing. The results from this research can be concluded that the learning outcomes of students in listening learning obtained an average pretest score of 71 .57 and a post-test of 94.47. Furthermore, the result from the N-Gain is in the high category with a percentage of 81, 18%, which show an increase in results in the use of “Academic Arapça” for the special learning process of the Arabic language department.

This research aims to find out how students can use YouTube's educational English videos to enhance their listening skills. A Google Form online survey was used as the survey methodology for this quantitative research. The target population for this research is senior high school students taking English classes. Due to the application's beneficial effects on the student's hearing, the data analysis showed that the student can enhance their listening comprehension with YouTube's educational English videos. The results of this research suggest that watching English instruction videos on YouTube can improve students' listening comprehension. The results were supported by every student, who agreed that using YouTube to improve their listening comprehension could be helpful. This research is far from perfect and still has many flaws. The researcher therefore expects that another researcher will continue their study into how to use YouTube's application for English educational videos more effectively, especially in listening comprehension across a range of academic levels. The study's benefits and potential to help other researchers who want to look into a connected topic are also anticipated by the researcher.

The delivery of listening instructions proved difficult for students, who also lacked interest in English subjects. One potential solution to improve their listening skills could be the use of effective learning media that engages their interest in the subject matter. The purposes of this study were to investigate students’ listening proficiency and figure out students’ perceptions of utilizing videos as media for learning English listening subjects. A quantitative research design was applied to gather the data required through a test and questionnaire. Furthermore, a test was used to gather data related to students' listening ability, and a questionnaire was used to find out students' perceptions of utilizing videos as sources of learning listening. Respondents in this study were twenty-five students from the eleventh grade of SMK N 1 Pleret, Yogyakarta. The findings of the present study revealed that the total mean score (????̅) of the students' test results was 76,8, which is categorized as a "Fair" level of achievement. Other findings revealed that the use of video brings a positive impact on students' learning situation because the use of videos made it possible for students to actively participated in their listening class activities. The results indicated that students enjoy watching videos, and believe that watching videos could enhance their listening proficiency. Besides, videos provide visual elements which can be the key element in assisting students to enhance their listening ability.
