The effect of tuina on ulcerative colitis model mice analyzed by gut microbiota and proteomics

Abstract: Tuina can effectively alleviate ulcerative colitis-related symptoms, but the mechanism of action is unknown. The purpose of this research is to explore potential pathways for the treatment of tuina through gut microbiota and proteomics techniques. Thirty-two male BALB/c mice were divided into four groups, the control, model, mesalazine, and tuina groups. The ulcerative colitis model was established by freely drinking a 3% dextran sulphate sodium solution for 7 days. The mesalazine group and the tuina group, re… Show more

“…Compared to traditional proteomics technology, 4D more quickly and e ciently identify and quantify various proteins, providing an opportunity to study Tuina therapy mechanisms and improve clinical practice 29 . In this study, we analyzed the expression trends of DEPs in each group to evaluate the key proteins directly regulated by Tuina.…”

“…The multi-omics approaches and high-resolution have led to significant discoveries in other nervous system diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease, depression and autism spectrum disorder. 737 739 By contrast, few pioneer investigations have preliminarily shown the potential of transcriptomes and proteomics in exploring pain modulation, 740 , 741 implying that pain research lags due to underutilization of multi-omics analysis. On the other hand, the efficiencies of omics data analysis integration are relatively low.…”
