“…Middle-aged participants underwent screening to reduce the risk of heart disease and an intervention to eat healthy, increase physical activity, and quit smoking. Many researchers have shown that it causes behavioral changes and clinical improvement [63][64][65][66][67][68][69][70][71]. Interventions might be necessary to connect with screening, in which people can identify their status and be motivated to use preventive services from the advice of reliable professionals.…”

Behavioral interventions have also demonstrated the ability to control and in some cases achieve normal blood pressure in patients with hypertension [6,7]. Behavioral interventions have thus established themselves as essential complements to pharmacologic therapy, which is reflected in current treatment guidelines [8-10].…”

“…Endothelial dysfunction has been considered an early event in the pathophysiology of essential hypertension and is associated with subclinical target organ damage and the progression of atherosclerosis [4]. Patients with hypertension present impaired endotheliumdependent vasodilation, which is indicative of endothelial dysfunction [5,6] and may be due to abnormal vascular remodeling and rearrangement of various components of the vascular wall including extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins [7].…”
