The effect of SiO2 addition on dielectric properties and microstructure of ZnNiO2: based ceramics

Abstract: The present work attempted to investigate the effect of SiO 2 addition on the dielectric properties and microstructure of the ZnNiO 2-ceramics. The content of added SiO 2 is in the range 5-40 wt%, while that of the other additives keeps constant. The given samples were sintered at 1000-1300 °C for 120 min, with conventional ceramic processing method. By X-ray diffraction, Zinc silicate, Nickel silicate, Quartz, Nickel Zinc Oxide, Zinc Oxide and Nickel oxide were found in all the samples, and no extra phases we… Show more

“…As the frequency decreased, the dielectric constant progressively rose, and as the frequency increased, the dielectric constant values reached a plateau. This behavior is normal and has also been observed by several investigators [ 28 , 29 ]. As the number of dipoles aligned in the direction of the applied electric field grows, the dielectric constant value increases due to the reduction of the frequency ( ).…”

“…Some other works like in [18,19] focused on the enhancement of dielectric proprieties to meet antenna miniaturization, as well as, to enhance radiation efficiency by reducing dielectric losses. Alternatively, this can be achieved by generating novel dielectric proprieties with respect to the conventional ones.…”

“…Therefore, in this paper, the modification process parameters such as KH550 dosage, pH value of modification solution, modification time and modification temperature were optimized by testing the lipophilization degree and fiber weight gain rate [16][17][18][19]. After that, the composites were prepared using modified fillers and their effects on mechanical properties, energy absorption characteristics and microstructure were analyzed [20][21][22][23][24][25]. Finally, LS-DYNA was used to simulate and analyze the low-speed crash test of the composite crash box [26][27][28].…”
