The Effect of Phosphatation and Granulation Zeolite in the Adsorption of Cr(VI)

Abstract: This research was aimed to study the effect of contact time on adsorption of Cr(VI) using Granules Alumino Silico Phosphate (GASP) and to determine the adsorption capacity of GASP. The GASP synthesis process was carried out in several main stages: 1) activation of zeolite with addition 0.4 M HCl, 2) Zeolite phosphatation by addition of NH 4 H 2 PO 4 ratio Si/P = 1/6 at 235ᴼC for 5 hours, 3) Granulation of phosphated zeolite using chitosan to afford the GASP.
