et al.

Abstract: Nuclear factor E2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) is responsible for regulating and maintaining the transcription of cytoprotective genes under conditions of stress and the destruction of redox homeostasis. This study aimed to elucidate the role of Nrf2 in the bone resorption of chronic apical periodontitis (CAP). We used immunohistochemical staining, western blotting and real‐time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT‐qPCR) to clarify the expression of Nrf2 in the normal human periodontal ligament and in CAP.
