“…Thus, the recently reported NO 3 Ϫ -induced Fe deficiency chlorosis in sunflower grown in the nutrient solution culture at low Fe supply (Kosegarten et al, 1998b(Kosegarten et al, , 1999(Kosegarten et al, , 2001) is an interesting physiological phenomenon but of little relevance to Fe deficiency in field grown plants.
