Abstract:The influence of long-range interactions on the progress of heat waves in the radiationcooling disperse flow is considered. It is shown that the system exhibits oscillations attendant on the process of establishing an equilibrium temperature profile. The oscillation amplitude and the rate of oscillation damping are determined. The conditions under which the radiation cooling process can be unstable with respect to temperature field perturbations are revealed. The results of theoretical analysis and numerical c… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
