A field experiment was conducted at the instructional farm of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Jajpur, Odisha during 2016 to study the effect of integrated nutrient management on disease and pest incidence and yield of okra (Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) Moench) variety Pusa A-4. From the experiment it was observed that treatment T7 [ RDF(75%)+ (25%) neem oil cake] has significant effect on disease incidence and pest population by reducing incidence of YVMV from 32.42% to 19.56%, jassid population from 11.57 to 6.53 per three leaves,mite population from 11.98 to 8.11 per three leaves, white fly population from 13.61 to 6.64 per three leaves and fruit borer from 17.94 % to 7.94 %. Maximum number of fruits per plant 15.02 was recorded in T7. Fruit yield per hectare varied significantly and was maximum with T7 (10.49 ton) and was minimum with T11 (7.30 ton). T7 (10.49 ton) and T5 (9.85 ton) and T10 (9.65 ton) were at par with each other. Combined use of 75 % RDF as inorganic fertilizer with 25 % RDF through neem oil cake (T7) recorded highest gross income of Rs.1,45,770/-, net income Rs.85,458 /-per hectare and maximum benefit cost ratio 2.42.

Objective of the Study: To assess the potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) performance for yield and quality production under natural farming system in gird region of Madhya Pradesh. Study Design: Randomized complete block design. Place and Duration of Study: ICAR-Central Potato Research Institute- RS, research farm Gwalior during winter (Rabi) season of 2022-2023. Methodology: Selected 5 plants from each treatment and replicated 3 times. Then follows methods as per given in materials and methods section of paper. Treatments T1: Control, T2: Inorganic practices (standard technology), T3: NADEP compost @ 25 t/ha + Azotobacter @ 1L/ha + PSB (Phosphorus solublizing bacteria) @ 1L/ha, T4: T3+ FYM @ 25 t/ha, T5: T3 + Vermicompost @ 7.5 t/ha, T6: T3+ neem cake @ 5 t/ha + foliar spray of copper oxychloride @ 3 g/L, T7: Integrated practice [90% RDF through inorganic sources {urea, SSP, MOP}, 10% RDF through organic sources i.e., FYM @ 25 t/ha. Results: Results revealed that maximum number of tubers (135.03, 144.598 and 245.344) for grade 25-50 g, 50-75 g and >75 g respectively, highest number of tubers per ha (591286 at harvest), maximum yield of tubers (6.75, 10.844 and 18.40 t/ha) for grade 25-50 g, 50-75 g and >75 g respectively, highest yield of tubers (37.665 t/ha), highest true density of tubers (1.123 g/cc), highest tuber dry matter (17.173%) and highest starch content (14.313%) were recorded in treatment T7. While, the maximum number of tubers (129.08) for grade (0-25 g) and, maximum yield of tubers (3.2098 t/ha) for grade (0-25 g) was found in control plot. Conclusion: Among 7 treatments, T7- Integrated practice (90% inorganic practices, 10% organic) found better for number of tubers in different grades, yield of tubers in different grades, total tuber yield (t/ha) and for quality parameters e.i., True density (g/cc), Tuber dry matter (%) and Tuber starch content (%).

The quality of seedlings obtained from a nursery influence re-establishment in the field and the eventual production of crops. The present investigation was conducted for two consecutive seasons during rabi, 2021-22 and rabi, 2022-23 at Mulugu, Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University for evaluation of the field performance of true potato seed. The same seedling raised media showed better performance in the main field of experiment, among the treatments, T1 i.e KP-15C3 X D-150 + Cocopeat : Vermicompost : FYM (2:1:1) was recorded the significantly highest growth parameters like plant height (25.15 cm and 47.61 cm), number of compound leaves per plant (15.05 and 28.13), leaf length (8.85 cm and 20.13 cm), leaf width (6.68 cm and 14.23 cm), leaf area (27.94 cm2 and 51.48 cm2) and stem diameter (0.60 cm and 0.82 cm) at 30 and 60 DAP respectively. Results related to yield attributing characters like number of micro tubers per plant (11.77), fresh weight of micro tubers per plant (16.21 g), number of small tubers per plant (7.46), fresh weight of small tubers per plant (44.03 g), number of medium tubers per plant (5.89), fresh weight of medium tubers per plant (171.40 g), number of large tubers per plant (2.84), fresh weight of large tubers per plant (115.28 g), total number of tubers per plant (27.95), tuber yield per plant (346.92 g), tuber yield per plot (20.82 kg/ 6 m2) and tuber yield (34.69 t/ha) was maximum in T1 treatment. It concluded that successfully tuberlets yield can be produced from seedling raised from TPS method.
