Ancak ilgili literatür ve çalışmalarda fazla yeme ya da bazı besinleri tüketmenin süt miktarını artırmadığı [22][23][24][25][26][27] , emzirme sıklığının 28,31 ve annenin emzirme isteğinin olmasının 29,30 süt miktarını artırmada daha etkili olduğu belirtilmektedir.
