The Effect of Gelation on the Apparent Magnetism of ZnFe2O4 Sol-Gel Systems

Abstract: Experiments have shown that for thixotropic solgel systems consisting of ZnFe 2 O 4 nanoparticles without any matrix material, the measured magnetization, or susceptibility of gels, are greater than those of sols. For the reduced susceptibility, a system with a volume fraction of particles of  v =2.0% is lower than a system with  v =1.5%.
