Abstract: <p>In natural environments plants are subjected to variable light conditions and therefore need an efficient regulatory system to regulate photosynthesis and the downstream metabolism. Most of the measurements available are taken at steady state and at leaf level but those may overestimate total carbon uptake in a more dynamic environment.
