Sebelum menjadi seorang guru, seseorang yang memiliki minat untuk menjadi guru harus memiliki keterampilan dasar mengajar. Salah satu cara untuk mempelajari keterampilan dasar mengajar di perguruan tinggi adalah dengan mengikuti kuliah microteaching di universitas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan mata kuliah microteaching yang ditawarkan sebagai bagian dari program studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan di FPTK UPI, untuk mengetahui minat mengajar di kalangan mahasiswa angkatan 2019 yang telah menyelesaikan mata kuliah microteaching, dan untuk mengetahui apakah mata kuliah microteaching memiliki pengaruh terhadap minat mahasiswa dalam profesi mengajar. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dan menggunakan teknik kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penggunaan kuesioner. Instrumen penelitian adalah kuesioner online. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji kecenderungan, dan uji normalitas adalah uji analisis yang diperlukan. Dengan menggunakan uji t, uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment, dan koefisien determinasi, hipotesis dari penelitian ini diuji. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mata kuliah microteaching yang diselenggarakan dalam program studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan FPTK UPI cenderung masuk ke dalam kategori "cukup baik", bahwa mahasiswa yang telah menyelesaikan mata kuliah microteaching cenderung memiliki tingkat minat yang "moderate" terhadap karier mengajar, dan bahwa kuliah microteaching berkontribusi pada kategori rendah minat untuk menjadi seorang guru. Sebagai saran, institusi atau perguruan tinggi sebaiknya memberikan kesempatan kepada mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan untuk melakukan latihan mengajar di berbagai pengaturan kelas, seperti di dalam bengkel.

This research is motivated by students as well as personal writers who have problems when carrying out teaching practice activities at school, one of which is the lack of student self-confidence caused by a lack of knowledge regarding the learning sets that will be used in teaching. The objectives of this research include; (1) knowing the description of knowledge of the 2016 PTI student learning sets; (2) knowing the description of self-confidence in teaching PTI students’ class of 2016; (3) knowing the relationship between knowledge of learning sets with confidence in teaching PTI students’ class of 2016; and (4) knowing the contribution of knowledge of learning sets to self-confidence in teaching Informatics Engineering Education students’ class of 2016. The research design used is descriptive quantitative research. The sample in this study amounted to 74 respondents obtained based on simple random sampling technique. The research instrument used tests and questionnaires. The results of this study indicate that; (1) Students who have a very high knowledge of learning sets are 43.2 percent, students who have a high knowledge of learning sets are 52.7 percent, and students who have low knowledge are 4.1 percent, (2) students have confidence self-confidence in teaching is high at 94.6 percent and students have high self-confidence in teaching at 5.4 percent, (3) There is a significant relationship between knowledge of Learning Sets and Confidence in Teaching at State University Informatics Engineering Students Malang, (4) the contribution of variable X to variable Y is 33.2 percent and the rest is influenced by other factors not mentioned in the study

The development of 21st century abilities necessitates satisfying students' needs. Preservice teachers may find it difficult to meet the criteria. Responsive teaching needs to take precedence to effectively meet student needs. As a result, it is essential to consider how preservice teachers view this issue. This chapter first sets to highlight some of the issues preservice teachers face during microteaching in a mathematics classroom. Next, it looks at possible ways to promote responsiveness by using 21st century skills. It further discusses some solutions, suggestions, and recommendations based on the highlighted issues. Specifically, this chapter aims to identify ways for preservice teachers to contribute to teaching mathematics in a more creative way based on their responsiveness in microteaching. Finally, input is provided to educators on how to meet the output of responsive teaching by applying classroom microteaching strategies.
