The effect of diphenylhydantoin sodium on acid mucoplysaccharide and collagen contents of cotton pellet granulomas in rats

Abstract: The effect of diphenylhydantoin sodium (DPH) on acid mucopolysaccharide (AMPS) and collagen contents of granuloma tissue was studied in rats. Granuiomas were induced by implanting cotton pellets in the back of rats. DPH in doses of 50 and 150 mg/kg was administered intraperitoneally from the first day after the implantation for 20 consecutive days.
