The Effect of Differentiated Nitrogen Fertilization using Satellite Navigation Systems on the Spring Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) Crop Yield in the Conditions of Chernozem-Like Soils in the Northern Forest Steppe of the Tyumen Region of Russia

Abstract: Soil cultivation without layers turnover impeded the process of nitrate nitrogen accumulation compared with plowing. The traditional scheme of mineral fertilization applying the averaged standard did not create a heterogeneous level of nutrient supply in primary soil cultivation systems. These factors set them in unequal conditions by default in terms of nitrogen supply to crops. Solid mineral fertilization with the use of precision farming systems in subcompartments, taking into consideration nutrient concent… Show more

“…The concentrations of total nitrogen (%), ammonium nitrogen (mg/kg), and nitrate nitrogen (mg/kg) were measured using the Kjeldahl technique (Hu et al, 2022;Lin et al, 2019;Oxukbayeva et al, 2023).…”

“…An important place in the intensive farming system is occupied by the use of modern varieties and the use of fertilizers. In this regard, the greatest interest is the study of the productivity of varieties of spring soft wheat of intensive and semi-intensive types at different levels of mineral nutrition (Oxukbayeva et al, 2023). To form a high yield, the sowing of an agricultural crop should be characterized by good development of all plants, resistance to lodging, and the density of the productive stem optimal for these environmental conditions and varieties.…”

“…The agrotechnological requirements can be updated provided that precision farming systems are used in the crop industry, which is a complex high-tech agricultural management system based on technologies of differentiated land use, considering the intra-field variability of soil fertility factors (Jägermeyr and Frieler, 2018) and using modern technology and software (geoinformation systems) support (Panesh and Tsalov, 2017;Bekezhanov et al, 2022) and remote sensing of the state of soils and crops (Oxukbayeva et al, 2023). Precision agriculture ensures the maintenance and improvement of soil fertility (Gulyanov and Chibilev, 2019), increasing sustainability and reducing material and energy costs of agricultural production (Polishchuk et al, 2021), obtaining high-quality products and reducing the burden on the environment (Gulyanov and Chibilev, 2019).…”
