“…The concept of team collaboration has been clearly identified in the literature as an integral component of a health care environment that produces optimal birth outcomes and patient satisfaction (Kapov, Wright, & Kean, ; Putnam, Ikeler, Raup, & Cantu, ). Furthermore, inter‐professional collaboration improves patient care outcomes, promotes patient centeredness, and assists continuity of care (Posthumus et al., ; Raab, Brown‐Will, Richards, & O'Mara, ).
