Abstract:Iodine deficiency in soil and water in many countries leads to its low content in plants and animal feed produced from them. The limited intake of this element in animals can lead to endemic diseases. The lack of iodine in animal feeding is most often compensated for by the use of additives with an inorganic form of iodine, which can be poorly absorbed by the body.
