Abstract:The isoquinoline derivative alkaloid known as berberine (BBB) can be found in the Chinese medicinal herbs Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian), Cortex Phellodendri (Huangbai), and Hydrastis Canadensis. These three plants are also the sources of berberine.
