The EEA Stapling Instrument in Gastric Cancer Surgery

Abstract: Report on the use of EEA staplers in gastric cancer surgery. The stapler was used in proximal anastomoses – 83 esophagojejunostomies and five esophagogastrostomies. The following intraoperative problems occurred: insufficiency of the purse string suture (2), lumen of the esophagus too small (1), esophageal wall torn (4), incomplete rings (3).
