As explained in Fraaije et al (2012a, b), the ammonites associated indicate the Middle Oxfordian Transversarium Zone. According to G»owniak et al (2010), correction is made here for a single specimen of Cardioceras tenuiserratum Oppel, 1863, which indicates the Boreal Tenuiserratum Zone and roughly correlates with the Submediterranean lower Transversarium Zone, and not the Plicatilis Zone.…”
