The Dynamics of Magnetic Rossby Waves in the Quasigeostrophic Shallow Water Magnetohydrodynamic Theory

Abstract: The dynamics of magnetic Rossby waves are investigated by applying a quasigeostrophic shallow water magnetohydrodynamic system, which is linearized with respect to both uniform background flow and uniform magnetic field.
