Este trabalho tem como objetivo verificar se a liberalização de mercados de energia, em especial gás natural e eletricidade, contribui para a transição energética, acelerando o combate às mudanças climáticas. Especificamente, este trabalho busca classificar o grau de eficiência relacionado à transição energética dos países, considerando o seu estado de desenvolvimento setorial. Para se atingir o objetivo, faz-se uso da metodologia de análise envoltória de dados (data envelopment analysis – DEA) com especificação slack based measure (SBM) – Tone (2001). A ideia deste modelo é minimizar as folgas na produção que surgem com excesso de utilização de insumos em relação aos produtos gerados e/ou falta de geração de produtos em relação aos insumos utilizados. No nosso caso, as unidades tomadoras de decisão são os países; os indicadores de regulação (PMR) e os preços residenciais foram considerados insumos; enquanto confiabilidade e participação de renováveis na matriz elétrica foram definidos como produtos. Os principais resultados mostram que os mercados mais avançados em seus processos de abertura tendem a apresentar melhores resultados de transição energética, como maiores participações de fontes renováveis no setor elétrico, maiores participações de gás natural na matriz energética, menores preços de eletricidade e menores níveis de dependência externa, entre outros indicadores de transição. Os resultados permitem apontar que possíveis mudanças nos marcos regulatórios e de propriedade pública podem levar a um melhor desempenho no setor de energia dos países classificados como de menor eficiência relativa.

The current research attempts to determine the degree to which three primary elements (Human, Structural, and relational capital) and intellectual capital are related to profitability of SMEs technological inventions in China’s Jiangsu province of as part of the country’s intellectualization process in the post-industrial era. The research utilizes data from 1,450 SME listings on the Shenzhen stock market between 2012 and 2020. The VAICTM model was used in this inquiry. Using PLS-SEM, the study evaluated four significant hypotheses. The research indicates that human and structural capital have a substantial meaningful correlation regarding SMEs success. The research also discovered a favorable association between human and structural capital and technological innovation in Jiangsu province throughout the post-industrial period. However, a strong negative correlation occurred between relational capital and the financial performance of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The research uncovered a substantial positive relationship between the technological innovation of SMEs and their financial success. The link between intellectual capital (HC, SC, and RC) and company performance was shown to be mediated and moderated by technological innovation. According to the findings, technical innovation considerably moderates the link between Human Capital and firm performance. The research indicated that Technical Innovation (TI) moderates the association between Structural Capital (RC) and firm performance. In contrast, Technical Innovation (TI) does not alter the association between Relational Capital (RC) and firm success in a substantial way.

“…At present, there are few researches conducted on the issue of energy transformation efficiency which has neither been scientifically defined even in the cutting‐edge theory of energy transformation (Campos et al, 2022; Freire‐González & Puig‐Ventosa, 2019; Schürmann et al, 2019) nor been reasonably measured with the MERGE model, the RICE&DICE model, the AIM approach, the IPAC approach or the NEMS model (Aplak & Sogut, 2013; Forouli et al, 2019; Fragkos & Paroussos, 2018; Najm & Matsumoto, 2020; Wei et al, 2018). However, it should be noted that although there is no readily available theoretical basis, some scholars still have technically performed quantitative measurement on the Energy Efficiency by using the Data Envelope Approach (DEA) and the Malmquist‐Luenberger (ML) index method (Sarpong et al, 2022; Zakari et al, 2022) which can provide some references for this study.…”

A conceptual framework is constructed to discuss the Energy Transformation Efficiency and the Energy Transformation Justice for Carbon Neutrality and sustainable development. Both the Slack Based Measure‐based Efficiency Model and the improved Energy Transformation Justice Model are applied to measure the transformation efficiency and the transformation justice respectively. Then for empirical analysis, the influencing mechanism of the energy transformation efficiency and justice on the energy economy is analyzed by using the panel data of the USA, China and the EU from 2000 to 2020 with the Panel Smooth Transition Regression (PSTR). The results reveal that: The energy transformation efficiency requires a subtle balance between three essential inputs and two important outputs, while the energy transformation justice associated with five dimensions can describe both the equal opportunity and the procedural justice. Both the energy transformation efficiency and the energy transformation justice are improving year by year, and they are not completely mutually exclusive at present. As far as the performance is concerned, the EU is the best of all at both the efficiency and the justice, the USA is better than China at the justice, but China is better than the USA at the efficiency. In terms of interrelationship, there is an obvious Regime Switching Effect when the energy transformation efficiency and justice influencing on the energy economy growth. Furthermore, note that the state transition of both the efficiency and the justice can be limited by the economic situation of energy sector in each economy.
