The Dog as a Risk Factor in Transmission of Visceral Leishmaniasis: A Review

Abstract: Visceral leishmaniasis (VL) is a serious public health problem in Brazil and worldwide. Despite the euthanasia of dogs serologically positive, such action has not solved the endemic in Brazil.
