The digestion of Mulga Nettle (Halorhagis odontocarpa) by sheep.

Abstract: Sheep cannulated in the rumen and abomasum were fed a diet of fresh mulga nettle (Halorhagis odontocarpa) and measurements of organic matter and nitrogen digestion in the rumen were obtained. Of the nitrogen ingested by the fistulated sheep 9.0 � 4.34% escaped digestion in the rumen.
