The different dissipation behavior of chiral pesticide paclobutrazol in the brine during Chinese cabbage pickling process

Abstract: Paclobutrazol (PBZ) is a kind of chiral pesticide, which is a plant growth regulator and has fungicidal activity. Because of the steric-hindrance effect, there are two enantiomers (2S, 3S; 2R, 3R) in the production. This research studied on the dissipation behavior of chiral pesticide PBZ in the brine during the Chinese cabbage pickled process by phase column-high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The result demonstrated the PBZ enantiomers had the different dissipation in the brine. The study on the b… Show more

“…In the pickling trial, the concentrations of mandipropamid were slightly reduced in cucumber, Chinese cabbage, and cowpea samples over the pickling time. Microbiological degradation may be the main pathway for removing pesticide residues from vegetables in the pickling process [ 21 ]. Different reduction efficiencies were obtained for the analyte in different vegetables, which might be related to the characteristics of the vegetables [ 20 , 22 ], such as specific bacteria generated after pickling different vegetables [ 5 ].…”

“…The contaminated cucumber samples were cut into small pieces with an average size of approximately 1 cm 3 , and the contaminated Chinese cabbage and cowpea samples were drained as the raw material of sauerkraut [ 20 , 21 , 22 , 23 ]. The pretreated vegetable samples were pickled in 10% NaCl solution in a 5 L fermentation tank stored in the dark at 25 °C.…”

“…High-throughput sequencing technology has been widely used in the analysis of microbial information recently. 21,22 In particular, many researchers have used the 16S rRNA and ITS sequencing techniques to investigate the composition, diversity, and functions of microbial community during wine fermentation process. [23][24][25] The aim of the present study was to identify the enantiomeric effect and degradation of paclobutrazol, which resided in raw material (grapes) during wine fermentation process.…”
