The diabetic proximal tubule: part of the problem, and part of the solution?

Abstract: PHYSIOLOGICAL INTEREST IN RENAL glucose handling dates to the era of whole organ experiments, with the description of a renal glucose threshold (Tm) and osmotic diuresis (22).
